Connecting your Facebook Page to Viraly

To link a Facebook Page to your Viraly account, we need to authenticate through a personal Facebook profile* that holds the admin role for the Page you’re connecting. For more details on Facebook Page roles and how Facebook Business Suite functions, click here.

Important Points:

When linking your Page to Viraly, it’s essential to approve all permissions for all pages during the connection process, even for those that won’t be connected to Viraly. If any permissions are missing, we may not be able to detect the accounts you manage, preventing them from being connected to Viraly.

Connecting your Facebook Page

We suggest starting by logging into your Facebook profile with the necessary permissions.

⚠️ Note: You must use a Facebook profile that has the admin role for the Page you’re trying to connect. Facebook removed the ability to log in as a Page, but some long-time users might still see this option. However, if you log in as your Page, this connection method will not work.

  1. In Viraly, click on your profile avatar in the upper-right corner of your dashboard, then select Account from the drop-down menu.
  1. From the left-hand menu, click Channels.
  2. Click Connect next to Facebook (If you have existing channels, select Connect New Channel, then click Connect beside Facebook).
  3. Choose Facebook Page, then click Start Connecting.
  4. If you’re not already logged into Facebook, a login window will appear.
  5. Click Continue as [Name].
  6. On the next screen, you’ll see the option to Choose the businesses that you want Viraly to access. Be sure to select Opt in to all current and future businesses. If you choose to opt into current businesses only, you’ll manually select Meta businesses, which may restrict Viraly from finding all Pages you manage.
  7. On the next screen, select Opt in to all current and future Pages for Viraly to access. If you select current Pages only, this may prevent Viraly from finding all your managed Pages.
  8. Finally, on the next screen, review the permissions Viraly requests. By clicking Save, you grant the necessary permissions. We only request the minimum needed for scheduling posts and providing analytics.
  9. Back in Viraly, on the Which channels would you like to connect? screen, choose the Page you want to connect, and click Start Connecting.

What to do if your Facebook Page is not listed

First, verify that your personal Facebook profile has admin access for the Page. If the Page is part of a Facebook Business Suite account, ensure your permissions are fully set up. You can check your Facebook admin settings here.

If you have the correct Page role but it still doesn’t appear, it means Viraly may not have the necessary permissions from Facebook. To fix this, try reauthorizing the connection between Facebook and Viraly and then attempt to reconnect your Page.

* Even though we authenticate through your personal Facebook profile, we will not access your personal information or post anything on your profile
