Why is my channel listed as “Unavailable”
By Dejan Bogatinovski•Updated on
Channels marked as “Unavailable” are usually connected to another Viraly social set, either within the same workspace or a different one. Each social channel can only be linked to one Viraly social set at a time.

📝 If you’re experiencing issues with Facebook or Instagram channels not appearing, or facing difficulties in connecting them, check out our Troubleshooting Facebook and Instagram connections guide. for assistance.
How to Resolve This Issue
To connect the channel to your Viraly workspace, you will first need to disconnect it from the other Viraly workspace it’s currently linked to.
Solution #1: You might know the person who connected the channel to Viraly
If you or someone you know might have access to the Viraly workspace where the social channel is already connected, you’ll need to remove the channel (or ask the person who connected it to remove it). You can do this by following the instructions in our guide on Disconnecting a Channel from Viraly. Once the channel is disconnected, it will be available for connection in another Viraly workspace.
To jog your memory, consider if any of the following may be responsible:
- Former social media managers,
- Current or past team members at your organization,
- Old Viraly accounts you’ve used personally.
⚠️ Please note: When you disconnect a social channel from Viraly, all scheduled posts and analytics related to that channel will be deleted.
Solution #2: You don’t know the person who connected the channel to Viraly
If you’re unsure who currently owns the social channel in Viraly, you can reach out to our Customer Support team at contact@viraly.io. We’d be happy to help you track it down. To speed up the process, please provide the following details:
- The URL of the social channel (for example: https://www.facebook.com/ViralyIO).
- A screenshot showing the “Unavailable” status of the social channel to confirm your ownership.
This will help us resolve the issue as quickly as possible!
