For the purposes of this Cookies Policy:

  • Cookies means small files that are placed on Your computer, mobile device or any other device by a website, containing details of your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
  • Website refers to Viraly, accessible from https://viraly.io
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Website, or a company, or any legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Website, as applicable.

The use of the Cookies

Type of Cookies We Use

Cookies can be "Persistent" or "Session" Cookies. Persistent Cookies remain on your personal computer or mobile device when You go offline, while Session Cookies are deleted as soon as You close your web browser.

Our consent banner groups everything we set on viraly.io into four categories. Where we say "local storage" we mean browser storage that behaves like a persistent cookie. What applies before You make a choice depends on where You are: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the Analytics and Marketing categories stay off until You accept them; everywhere else they are on until You turn them off. Functional is on by default everywhere.

  • Essential (always on)

    Type: Session and Persistent Cookies

    Administered by: Us

Purpose: These Cookies are required to provide the services You ask for and cannot be switched off. They include the sign-in session cookies set when You log in to app.viraly.io, the consent record itself (local storage viraly-cookie-consent-v1 and the anonymous session id viraly-anon-session), a cached copy of your approximate location used only to decide whether live chat is offered in your country (geoLocationCache), and the referral attribution cookie viraly_via (60 days, set only when You arrive through a partner link, holding just the partner's public slug so the referral can be credited). Our own affiliate tracking script, served from r.viraly.io, may keep the same slug in local storage for the same purpose.

  • Functional (on by default, can be turned off)

    Type: Persistent Cookies

    Administered by: Third-Parties (Intercom)

Purpose: Intercom Messenger (intercom-id-*, intercom-session-*, intercom-device-id-*) powers live support chat and remembers your conversation. Because chat is a service You ask for, it is on by default so that You can always reach us; switching this category off closes the Messenger and stops these cookies.

  • Analytics (opt-in in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; on by default elsewhere)

    Type: Persistent Cookies

    Administered by: Third-Parties (Google)

Purpose: Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years) tells us which pages and features are useful. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the Google tag loads in Consent Mode with all storage denied, so no Analytics cookies are written and no identifying data is sent until You accept this category. Elsewhere it runs until You turn the category off. IP addresses are anonymized in both cases.

  • Marketing (opt-in in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; on by default elsewhere)

    Type: Persistent Cookies

    Administered by: Third-Parties (Meta)

Purpose: The Meta Pixel (_fbp, 90 days) measures the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it does not load, and sets no cookie, until You accept this category. Elsewhere it runs until You turn the category off.

Your Choices Regarding Cookies

On your first visit to viraly.io we show a consent banner with four categories. You can accept all, reject all (which keeps only the Essential cookies running, so live chat closes too), or customize your choice per category. The toggles open on whatever currently applies to You, so You can see what is on before You save. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing in the Analytics or Marketing categories loads until You accept it; elsewhere those categories run from your first visit until You turn them off, and Reject all stops them straight away.

You can change or withdraw your decision at any time from the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting: the same banner reopens with your current choice, and saving a new choice stops the trackers you switched off.

Each decision is recorded in our own append-only consent log together with an anonymous session id, a hash of your IP address, your browser user agent and the version of this policy you decided on, so that we can demonstrate compliance and answer data subject requests. The anonymous session id is kept in your browser's local storage (viraly-anon-session) together with your decision (viraly-cookie-consent-v1); clearing your browser data removes both and the banner will ask again. When this policy changes in a way that matters, the stored decision is discarded and the banner asks again.

You can also delete or refuse Cookies in your web browser. If You do not accept Our Cookies, You may experience some inconvenience in your use of the Website and some features (for example live chat) will not function. To delete Cookies or instruct your web browser to delete or refuse Cookies, please visit the help pages of your web browser.

For any other web browser, please visit your web browser's official web pages.
