Must-Know tips for instagram Connection

Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account. If you need to switch, here’s a guide on how to convert your Instagram account to a business or creator account.
Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page for Viraly to connect to it. Learn how to link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page here.
Your Facebook profile must have the Admin role for the linked Facebook Page. Facebook’s guide on managing roles is available here, and you can learn how to adjust your page role to Admin here.
Due to API restrictions, publishing Instagram Stories is only possible if your account is a Business account. Instagram Creator accounts do not support this feature.
Due to API limitations, Viraly can only pull data into its analytics dashboard for Instagram accounts with 100 or more followers. Although accounts with fewer followers can still be connected, no data will be available for analytics.

Connecting your Instagram business or creator account

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to switch your Instagram personal profile to a professional account and choose between Business or Creator. Follow the steps outlined in the convert your Instagram account to a business or creator account guide.

In Viraly, click + Connect New Channel located at the bottom-left of the left sidebar navigation.
Select Connect on the Instagram card.
Click Authenticate with Facebook. Since Instagram Business accounts must be linked to a Facebook Page to connect, the authentication process will go through Facebook.
Enter your Facebook login details and click Login. If you’re already logged in to Facebook, simply enter your password and click Continue.

📝 Make sure you’re logging in with the personal Facebook profile that has the Admin role on the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account. If you’re not using the correct profile or the profile isn’t properly set up as Admin in Facebook Business Suite, your Instagram professional account won’t appear in the next step. Click Continue as [Name].
On the next screen, you’ll be asked to Choose the businesses that you want Viraly to access. It’s essential to select Opt in to all current and future businesses. If you only Opt into current businesses, you’ll have to manually select Meta businesses, which may prevent Viraly from detecting all the Pages you manage.
Next, you’ll be prompted to Choose the Pages that you want Viraly to access. Again, select Opt in to all current and future Pages. Opting into current Pages only will require manual selection and may block Viraly from accessing all the Pages you manage.
On the next screen, you’ll see an option to Choose the Instagram accounts that you want Viraly to access. Be sure to select Opt in to all current and future Instagram accounts. Opting into current accounts only may limit Viraly’s ability to find and display all the Instagram accounts you manage.
The next screen will display the permissions Viraly is requesting. By clicking Save, you’re agreeing to grant the necessary permissions. Viraly only asks for the minimum permissions required to provide post scheduling and analytics services.
Back in Viraly, on the Which channels would you like to connect? screen, select the Instagram account you want to link and click Start Connecting.
