Added a Generate New Slots button that lets you quickly regenerate posting slots based on the latest optimal engagement times.

• You can preview and adjust the newly generated slots before saving.

• Existing queued posts will automatically align with the updated slots after saving.

You can now switch to Dark Mode – a darker interface designed to reduce eye strain and save battery on OLED screens.

• Access it anytime from the User Dropdown Menu
• Choose between Light, Dark, or System (auto-switches based on your device)

What it does: Lets users assign a date to an Idea, so it appears directly on the Calendar.

How it works:

• Users can assign a date:
  • During the regular Add Idea flow, or
  • Directly from the Calendar by clicking a day
• Dated ideas show on the calendar as an “Ideas” indicator (with a count).
• Clicking the indicator opens a panel like “Ideas for [Date]”, where users can view and add ideas for that day.

You can now publish Instagram Trial Reels – reels that are only shown to non-followers, so you can test content performance before sharing it with your audience.

• Trial Reels are shared only with non-followers
• Viraly shows your follower count and highlights that this feature may not be available for all accounts (if unavailable, publishing may fail)
• Choose your Graduation Strategy:
  • Manual Graduation: you manually “graduate” the reel in the Instagram app when you’re ready to share it with followers
  • Auto-Graduation (Performance-Based): Instagram can automatically graduate and share it with followers if it performs well
• Save your selection in Trial Reel Settings before scheduling/publishing

You can now add custom backgrounds to your Facebook text posts by selecting from built-in presets.

• Choose a preset background for your post to make your text stand out visually
• Backgrounds are organized into 3 easy categories:
  • Decorative
  • Gradient
  • Solid
• Your selected background is shown in the Facebook Preview, so you can confirm how it will look before scheduling/posting

You can now set a custom thumbnail (cover photo) for your Facebook video posts and Reels.

• Open Select Cover Photo from the post editor
• Choose one of two options:
  • Select from Video: pick a specific frame using the timeline slider
  • Upload Custom Image: upload your own cover image (9:16 recommended)
• Save your selection and confirm the final look in the Facebook Preview before scheduling/posting

You can now invite a collaborator when publishing a Facebook Reel.

• Search for a Facebook Page and select it as a collaborator
• Only one collaborator can be invited per Reel
• After publishing, Viraly will provide a collaborator invite URL
• Share the invite URL with the collaborator so they can accept and complete the collaboration

You can now search and tag Facebook locations on your Facebook Posts and Reels.

• Use Tag Location to find places by name (with search suggestions)
• Select a location from the results (map + list view) and confirm your choice
• The tagged location is shown in the Facebook Preview, so you can verify it before scheduling/posting

You can now give your Instagram Reel audio a custom name instead of the default “Original Audio.”

• Open Rename Audio from the Reel options
• Enter a custom Audio Name (up to 40 characters)
• Each audio track can be renamed once
• If you don’t set a name, Instagram will keep showing it as “Original Audio”
• Your chosen name will appear in the Instagram Preview before publishing

You can now search and tag locations on your Instagram Posts and Reels.

• Use Tag Location to search for a place by name (results shown in a list + map view)
• Select a location and confirm it to attach it to your post/reel
• The chosen location appears in the Instagram Preview, so you can verify it before scheduling/publishing

You can now automatically shorten links in your posts.

• Enable Shorten URLs in the post editor
• Viraly will automatically detect and shorten any links in your caption/content
• The shortened link is shown in the preview, so you can verify it before scheduling/publishing

You can now organize your media into custom “collections” which makes it easy to sort it by different categories. You can:

• Add custom notes and tags for each collection.
• Search/filter the media by either media names, tags, categories, notes, or collection names.
• Drag media between collections.
• If you click on any media, it will automatically open the post composer and attach that media to the post.

You can now add categories to you social media posts! Every account will come pre-loaded with 4 default categories:

• Educational
• Promotional
• Entertaining
• Inspirational

Additionally, you can create you own custom categories. You can add one or multiple categories to any post. Then, you can view and filter your posts by category.

Now, when you enter a link into the post composer, it will show a preview of how the post will look in the platform! It reads the Open Graph data from the source URL and displays it in the preview.

Additionally, it scrapes all of the images on the page (that are 300px or bigger – in both height/width). If you would rather use something different than the OG image, you can choose from the grid display of all images.

This makes it much smoother and simpler in the post creation process!

You can now turn any post into evergreen content and have Viraly automatically repost it on a schedule.

• Manage all recycled posts from the new Recycled Content section
• Configure Recycling Settings for each post:
  • First post scheduled for (start date and time)
  • Recycle interval (how often it reposts, for example every 30 days)
  • End date (when recycling should stop)
  • Custom recycle dates (manually pick specific dates instead of using an interval)
• Preview how many re-posts will be created, plus a list of upcoming recycle dates
• Optional: enable Content Variations to rotate different captions and help avoid duplicate content detection

Today, Viraly launched a completely free character counter tool! We thought it would be fun to start creating some 100% free tools 🙂 So, the first one in the series is a character counter. It can do the following:

• Count characters
• Count words
• Count line breaks
• Count the character limits for 10+ social media platforms (it shows unique character limits for each social platform)

Improved Analytics UX to be more organized and intuitive (added TOC / categories). Before it was just top-to-bottom section. Here’s what was added:

• Nice dropdown in the top left to toggle which social profile you want to view.
• Fixed TOC for each social platform (each platform shows conditionally different sections based on what is provided by the API).
• Desktop/mobile view for easy navigation.

When users create a new account, there’s now a nice tutorial that walks them through all of the features.

You can make it so a post can’t be published/scheduled until your team members approve it. You can make it so a certain amount of team members are required to approve a post (it can be all of the team members, just one team member, 5 specific team members, or whatever combination you want to make it). Additionally, your team can message each other within the Viraly app to give feedback, share images/video, and collaborate on the post.

You can now drag & drop scheduled posts in the calendar view.

We updated the Instagram analytics dashboard so it’s using the new Instagram API. It has several newly added analytics options that weren’t available before.

In the email for Post processing failed or Post publishing failed, there is now an Edit Post button which will take the user directly to Viraly with opened post composer to edit the failed post.

The implementation handles different tenants and social sets and link to the correct tenant and social set (if multiple are available for the logged in user).

Built in comments for teams so they can collaborate on drafts before they go live.

There’s new simplified onboarding flow for new users where it asks them:

• Choose Your Role – Select whether you’re a solo creator, brand manager, agency owner, or team member.
• Set Your Goals – Pick what you want to achieve: schedule content, analyze performance, or other objectives.
• Select Platforms – Choose which social media platforms you actively use from the visual grid.
• Complete Profile – Add your company details, team size, industry, and tell us how you discovered Viraly.

You can now tag Instagram users in posts for Instagram.

First, you click the Tag Accounts button.

Next, you click on the image where you want to add the tag.

Then, you search for the username of the Instagram account. Note: it must be a public account.

Lastly, you verify the account and click save. Note: it must be a valid Instagram account to work.

You can now add Instagram collaborators to your Instagram Posts and Reels.

• Open Collaborators from the post editor
• Enter the exact Instagram username (no display names)
• Viraly will auto-verify the account before adding it
• Add up to 3 collaborators per post, and remove any before saving
• The collaboration is reflected in the Instagram Preview so you can confirm how it will appear before publishing

For Mastodon, Bluesky and Threads:

Add frontend validation for this condition: if a reply is added without a caption or photo, the post composer currently allows submission, but the API then returns an error: “Caption is required.”

Allow PDF attachments for LinkedIn posts.

When switching the social set, if the media library is open it doesn’t automatically reload the media. This has been fixed.

File uploads now continue in the background, even when navigating between pages. Previously, uploads were canceled if users left the media library, which caused interruptions, especially with larger files. Now, uploads are handled globally so you can keep creating posts or browsing other pages while your files finish uploading in the background.

You can now delete multiple media library items at the same time.

Implement automatic http request retries for transient failures of all external API requests throughout the whole backend.

Implemented TraceId support across all backend services to simplify error tracking and correlation.
