The Content Recycler automatically republishes your evergreen content on a recurring schedule. Keep your best-performing posts in rotation without manually recreating them.
What Is Content Recycling?
Content recycling automatically reposts evergreen content—posts that remain relevant over time. Instead of manually recreating successful posts, set them to automatically republish on a schedule.
Good candidates for recycling include:
- Tips and how-to content
- Inspirational quotes
- Product highlights
- Educational content
- Frequently asked questions
- Testimonials and reviews
Accessing Recycled Content
To view and manage your recycled posts:
- Go to Post Scheduler
- Click Recycled Content in the sidebar

The Recycled Content library shows all posts with recycling enabled. You can:
- Search for posts by title
- Switch between grid and list view
- See statistics for each recycled post series
- Edit, pause, resume, or delete recycling schedules
If you have no recycled posts yet, you will see an empty state with options to create your first recycled post or enable recycling on an existing post.
Setting Up Recycled Posts
To enable recycling for a post:
- Create a new post or edit an existing scheduled post
- Toggle on Recycle Post
- Configure your recycling settings
- Schedule or publish the post
Recycling Settings
When you enable recycling, configure these settings:

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| First post scheduled for | When the first post in the recycling series will be published |
| Recycle interval | How often to automatically repost this content |
| When should recycling end? | Optional end date to stop the recycling schedule |
| Content Variations | Optional caption variations to rotate through each recycle |
Recycle Intervals
Choose how often your content gets republished:

| Interval | Best For |
|---|---|
| 7 days (1 week) | Weekly tips or reminders (use cautiously) |
| 14 days (2 weeks) | Bi-weekly content rotation |
| 21 days (3 weeks) | Semi-monthly evergreen content |
| 30 days (1 month) | Monthly content refresh |
| 45 days | Mid-quarter highlights |
| 60 days (2 months) | Bi-monthly content |
| 90 days (3 months) | Quarterly highlights |
| 120 days (4 months) | Seasonal content |
| 180 days (6 months) | Semi-annual evergreen posts |
| 365 days (1 year) | Annual reminders or yearly events |
| Custom dates | Manually specify exact dates for each recycle |
Custom Dates
Select Custom dates to manually specify the exact date and time for each recycle. Custom dates must be at least 7 days apart.
Note: There is a minimum 7-day interval between recycles. Recycling content more frequently may be flagged as spam by social platforms.
Content Variations
Content Variations let you rotate different captions each time a post is recycled. This helps avoid duplicate content detection and keeps your recycled posts feeling fresh.
How Variations Work
When enabled, recycled posts cycle through your variations in order. Each time the post republishes, it uses the next variation in the sequence.
Setting Up Variations

- In the Recycling Settings, toggle on Content Variations
- Click + Add Manually to add a variation
- Enter a different version of your caption
- Add as many variations as needed
- Drag to reorder variations
Each variation has its own character counter. You can drag and drop variations to change the order they cycle through.
Tip: Change the wording while keeping the same message. This makes each republish feel unique while maintaining your core content.
Generate Variations with AI
Instead of writing variations manually, use AI to generate multiple versions of your caption automatically.

Using the AI Generator
- In the Recycling Settings, toggle on Content Variations
- Click Generate with AI
- Enter your original caption (this could be your post’s caption or custom text to base variations on)
- Configure generation options:
- How many variations? — Choose 3, 5, 7, or 10 variations
- Which tone should I use? — Select from Neutral, Professional, Casual, Friendly, or other tones
- Vary length — Check to create some shorter and some longer variations
- Click Generate Variations
- Review and edit the generated variations as needed
Generated variations maintain your message’s intent while rephrasing the wording to avoid duplicate content issues.
Managing Recycled Content
You can view your existing recycled content by clicking on the Recycled Content link.

Viewing Recycled Posts
In the Recycled Content library, each post displays:
- Post thumbnail and preview
- Status badge (Active or Paused)
- Recycle interval
- Number of variations
- Statistics: Total posts, Published, Scheduled, Drafts

Pausing and Resuming
To temporarily stop a post from recycling without deleting the schedule:
- Find the post in your Recycled Content library
- Click the action menu (three dots)
- Select Pause

Paused schedules keep their settings and can be resumed at any time by selecting Resume from the action menu.
Editing Recycling Settings
To modify a recycled post’s settings:
- Find the post in your Recycled Content library
- Click Edit or click on the post card
- Update the recycling interval, end date, or variations
- Click Save

Note: Changing the recycle interval or dates will regenerate the schedule, removing future scheduled posts and creating new ones based on the updated settings.
Deleting Recycled Content
When deleting a recycling schedule, you can choose to:
- Delete schedule only — Removes the recycling schedule but keeps the original post
- Delete schedule and original post — Removes both the schedule and the original post
Deleting a schedule also removes all future scheduled posts in the series.
Best Practices
- Use 30+ day intervals: Shorter intervals risk being flagged as spam
- Add variations: Use content variations or AI-generated variations to keep recycled posts fresh
- Mix with fresh content: Don’t recycle everything—maintain a balance of new and evergreen content
- Review performance: Check if recycled posts maintain engagement over time
- Update when needed: Refresh recycled content if information becomes outdated
- Set end dates: Use end dates for content that has a limited shelf life
