Creating a Pinterest Pin
Follow these steps to create and schedule a Pinterest Pin in Viraly:
Step 1: Open the Post Composer
Open the post composer using any of these methods:
- Click Create Post in the sidebar
- Click the + button in the calendar header
- Click on any date in the calendar view
Step 2: Select Pinterest
Click the Pinterest icon at the top of the composer. Selected platforms appear in full color with a pink border (#e60023), while unselected platforms are grayscale.
Step 3: Upload Your Media
Drag and drop your image or video, click to select files, or choose from your Media Library. Pinterest requires at least one photo or video for every Pin.
Pinterest supports:
- Image Pins: Single image
- Video Pins: Video content (4 seconds to 15 minutes)
- Carousel Pins: 2-5 images
Step 4: Add Pin Details
Fill in the Pin details:
- Description: Up to 800 characters
- Pin Title: Up to 100 characters
- Link: Destination URL (up to 500 characters)
Step 5: Select a Board
Click Select Pinterest board to choose which board to save your Pin to. This is a required field—you cannot schedule a Pin without selecting a board.
Step 6: Schedule Your Pin
Click Schedule Post to set a date and time, or use the dropdown menu for other publishing options.
