After logging in, you’ll land on the Viraly dashboard — your central hub for managing all your social media content. This guide explains the main areas of the dashboard and how to navigate between them.
Dashboard Layout Overview
The Viraly dashboard is divided into three main areas:
- Top Navigation Bar — Contains the main tabs (Post Scheduler, Analytics, Link In Bio), notifications, and your profile menu
- Left Sidebar — Shows your connected social profiles and quick access to features like Media Library and Hashtag Lists
- Main Content Area — Displays your content calendar, post list, or the current feature you’re using

When you first log in, you’ll land on the Calendar view at /scheduler/calendar/all, which shows all your scheduled and published posts across all connected social profiles.
Top Navigation Bar
The top navigation bar stays visible on every page and contains three main tabs:

Post Scheduler
The Post Scheduler tab is your main workspace for creating and managing social media content. This is where you’ll spend most of your time. It includes:
- Calendar view — See all your posts on a monthly or weekly calendar
- List/Queue view — Manage posts in a list format with time slots
- Media Library — Store and organize your images and videos
- Hashtag Lists — Save hashtag groups for quick reuse
- Idea Board — Save content ideas for later
- Recycled Content — Automatically repost evergreen content
- Shortened Links — Create trackable short links
Analytics
The Analytics tab shows performance metrics for your connected social profiles. You can view engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth for each platform. Learn more in our Analytics guide.
Note: Some analytics features are only available on paid plans. Free plan users will see limited data with an option to upgrade.
Link In Bio
The Link In Bio tab lets you create customizable landing pages for your social profiles. Add links, embed content, and collect email subscribers. See our Link in Bio documentation for details.
Profile Menu
Click your workspace name in the top-right corner to open the profile dropdown menu. This gives you access to account settings and other options.

Menu Options
- Account Settings — Manage your profile, notifications, billing, and subscription
- Connected Social Profiles — View and manage all your connected social accounts in the current social set
- My Social Sets — Organize your social profiles into groups (workspaces). Learn more about managing social sets
- API Integrations — Connect third-party services like email marketing platforms
- Theme Toggle — Switch between light and dark mode
- Sign Out — Log out of your Viraly account
Other Top Bar Elements
The top navigation bar also includes:
- Notifications Bell — Shows unread notifications (click to view)
- Upload Status — Displays progress when uploading media files
- Subscription Badge — Shows your current plan (Free, Influencer, Business, etc.)
Left Sidebar
The left sidebar is your quick-access panel for social profiles and scheduler features. On desktop, it can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the toggle button.

Social Profile List
The main section of the sidebar shows all connected social profiles in your current social set. Each profile displays:
- Platform icon (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Profile/page name
- Connection status
Click a profile to select it for posting. Click View All Social Profiles to see posts across all your connected accounts.

Expanded vs Collapsed View
The sidebar has two states:
- Expanded (256px) — Shows the full Viraly logo, profile names, and navigation labels
- Collapsed (80px) — Shows only icons for a more compact view

Add Social Profile Button
At the bottom of the sidebar, you’ll find the Add Social Profile button. Click this to connect a new social account to Viraly.
Calendar View (Main Content)
The Calendar view is the default main content area when you log in. It displays all your posts on a visual calendar.

Calendar Controls
At the top of the calendar, you’ll find these controls:
- Date Navigation — Use the arrows to move between months or weeks
- Today Button — Jump back to the current date
- Post Count — Shows the number of posts for the current view (e.g., “(15 posts)”)
- Timezone — Displays your current timezone
- View Switcher — Toggle between Month and Week views
- Create Post (+) — Click to create a new post
Month vs Week View
You can switch between two calendar layouts:
- Month View — See the entire month at a glance with post tiles on each date
- Week View — See hourly time slots for a 7-day period, useful for precise scheduling

Post Status Colors
Posts on the calendar are color-coded by status:
- Blue — Scheduled (waiting to publish)
- Green — Published successfully
- Gray — Draft (not scheduled yet)
- Yellow — Pending approval
- Red — Failed to publish

Secondary Navigation
Within the Post Scheduler section, you have access to additional features through the secondary navigation in the sidebar:

Quick Access Features
- Media Library — Upload and organize your images and videos for use in posts
- Hashtag Lists — Create saved groups of hashtags to quickly add to your posts
- Idea Board — Save content ideas and notes for future posts
- Recycled Content — Set up automatic reposting of evergreen content
- Shortened Links — Create and track short links for your posts
View Toggle
At the top of the sidebar, you’ll see toggle buttons to switch between:
- Calendar Icon — Switch to Calendar view
- List Icon — Switch to List/Queue view
Post Filters
You can filter posts by status using the filter options:
- All — Show all posts
- Scheduled — Only scheduled posts
- Drafts — Only draft posts
- Published — Only published posts
- Approval — Posts pending approval
You can also filter by categories if you’ve set up post categories.
Mobile Navigation
On mobile devices and tablets, the dashboard adapts to smaller screens:

- Hamburger Menu (☰) — Tap to open the sidebar as a full-screen overlay
- Compact View Toggle — Quickly switch between Calendar and List views
- Stacked Layout — Content displays in a single column for easier scrolling
Tap the X button or anywhere outside the sidebar to close it on mobile.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a new post from the dashboard?
There are several ways to create a post:
- Click the Create Post button in the sidebar
- Click the + icon in the calendar header
- Click on any date in the calendar to create a post for that day

How do I switch between social profiles?
Click on any social profile in the left sidebar to select it. The calendar will update to show only posts for that profile. Click View All Social Profiles to see posts across all accounts.
What’s the difference between Calendar and List view?
The Calendar view shows posts on a visual calendar grid, while the List view displays posts in a queue format with time slots. How do I collapse the sidebar?
On desktop, click the collapse arrow at the bottom of the sidebar to minimize it to icons only. This gives you more space for the main content area. Click again to expand it.
Where do I find my account settings?
Click your workspace name in the top-right corner, then select Account Settings from the dropdown menu. This takes you to the settings page where you can manage your profile, notifications, billing, and more.
What do the account status banners mean?
You may see banners at the top of your dashboard indicating account status:
- Past due banner — Your payment is overdue, please update your payment method
- Cancellation banner — Your subscription is scheduled to cancel or has been canceled
