Connect your Pinterest account to Viraly to schedule pins to your boards. Viraly supports both personal and business Pinterest accounts.
Before You Begin
To connect your Pinterest account to Viraly, you will need:
- A Pinterest account (personal or business)
- To be logged into the Pinterest account you want to connect in your browser
Important: Viraly connects to whichever Pinterest account is currently logged in on your browser. Before starting, make sure you’re logged into the correct Pinterest account.
Connecting Your Pinterest Account
Step 1: Open Social Sets
From your Viraly dashboard, navigate to My Social Sets in the top-right user dropdown menu. Click on the social set where you want to add your TikTok account, or create a new social set.
Step 2: Add a Pinterest Account
Click the + New Social Profile button and select Pinterest from the list of available platforms.
Step 3: Review Connection Information
- A dialog will appear with important information about the Pinterest connection
- Read the information carefully – it explains that Viraly will connect to the Pinterest account currently logged in on your browser
- Click Authenticate with Pinterest
Step 4: Authorize Viraly on Pinterest
- You will be redirected to Pinterest’s authorization page
- Review the permissions Viraly is requesting
- Click Give access to authorize Viraly
Viraly requests the following permissions:
- Read your boards — To show your boards when scheduling pins
- Create and edit boards — To create new boards if needed
- Read your pins — To view your existing content
- Create and edit pins — To schedule and publish pins on your behalf
- Read your account info — To display your profile information
Step 5: Select Your Account
- After authorizing, you will be redirected back to Viraly
- Your Pinterest account will appear in the account picker
- The account type (Business or Personal) will be displayed
- Click Connect to complete the connection
Connection Complete
Your Pinterest account is now connected. You can now schedule pins to any of your boards.
Personal vs Business Accounts
Viraly supports both Pinterest account types:

The account type is automatically detected when you connect. You can connect multiple Pinterest accounts of either type.
Connecting Multiple Accounts
To connect additional Pinterest accounts:
- Log out of Pinterest in your browser (or use a private/incognito window)
- Log into the other Pinterest account you want to connect
- Return to Viraly and click + Connect Social Profile
- Select Pinterest and complete the authorization process
Troubleshooting
Connected the Wrong Account
If you connected the wrong Pinterest account:
- Disconnect the incorrect account from Viraly
- Log out of Pinterest in your browser
- Log into the correct Pinterest account
- Connect again through Viraly
Boards Not Showing
If your Pinterest boards aren’t appearing when scheduling:
- Click the refresh button to reload your boards
- Make sure your boards are not set to “Secret” (secret boards may have limited access)
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Pinterest account
Authorization Failed
If the authorization process fails:
- Make sure you clicked Give access on Pinterest’s authorization page
- Check that you’re not using a browser extension that blocks redirects
- Try using a different browser or clearing your browser’s cache
Missing Permissions Error
If you see an error about missing permissions, you may have declined some required permissions during authorization. Disconnect your account and reconnect, making sure to grant all requested permissions.
Account Shows as Unavailable
If your Pinterest profile shows as “Unavailable” in the account picker, it means the profile is already connected to either this or another Viraly account. Each Pinterest profile can only be connected to one Viraly account.
