Viewing Mastodon Analytics

Monitor your Mastodon performance in Viraly. Track your profile statistics and individual post engagement including reblogs, favorites, and replies to understand how your content performs in the Fediverse.

Accessing Mastodon Analytics

To view your Mastodon analytics:

  1. Click Analytics in the top navigation
  2. Select your Mastodon account from the channel dropdown
  3. View your profile overview and post performance

Dashboard Sections

The Mastodon Analytics dashboard includes two sections:

  1. Profile Overview – Key account statistics
  2. Post Performance – Individual post metrics table

Profile Overview

The Profile Overview displays 6 key metrics about your Mastodon account:

Follow RequestsPending follow requests (only shown if your account is locked)
StatusesTotal number of posts made
Account TypeLocked (requires follower approval) or Public
Last Posted AtDate of your most recent post

Metrics are organized into two groups:

  • Audience Metrics: Followers, Follows, Follow Requests
  • Activity & Settings: Statuses, Account Type, Last Posted At

Account Type Indicator

The Account Type metric dynamically shows whether your account is:

  • Locked (with lock icon, red color) – Followers require your approval before they can see your posts
  • Public (with unlock icon, green color) – Anyone can follow without approval

Post Performance

The Post Performance table shows metrics for each individual post:

  • Pagination for browsing through all posts
  • Edit or Clone actions for each post

Exporting Data

Export your Mastodon analytics (Influencer plan or higher):

  1. Click Export Data at the top of the analytics page
  2. Select Post Metrics (Channel Metrics coming soon)
  3. Optionally set a date range
  4. Choose which metrics to include
  5. Click Export to download as CSV
